Gbelley Taylor is a fashion designer, educator, and creative leader with over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, and her work spans custom design, fashion production, education, and creative direction across local, national, and international platforms.

While fashion has always been her craft, teaching has always been her calling.

Over the years, Gbelley has designed and produced collections, led creative teams, and executive produced and directed fashion shows, including serving as Executive Producer and Director for Runway International across multiple seasons. She has showcased work on international stages as well as regional platforms such as Baltimore Fashion Week and Dayton Fashion Week, gaining a deep understanding of fashion from concept to completion.

At the same time, she has been teaching independently and intentionally.

Since 2016, Gbelley has worked as a freelance fashion instructor, teaching sewing, garment construction, and design principles through a variety of programs and instructional settings. Long before launching her own platform, she was already committed to passing down skills, not just how to make garments, but how to understand the art of sewing, the techniques, the discipline, and the craftsmanship behind it.

For Gbelley, fashion is an art form, and art is meant to be shared.

Her long-standing goal has always been to build her own educational space: a place where skills could be taught with care and structure, and where creativity could translate into opportunity. She believes that learning to sew is more than a hobby; it is a lifelong skill that can lead to employment, entrepreneurship, and the ability to support oneself and one’s family, sometimes for generations.

That vision led to the creation of Gbelley Taylor LLC and Stitch Society.

Today, through custom bridal design, fashion education, and creative programming, Gbelley brings together artistry and instruction with intention. Whether she is creating a one-of-a-kind gown, guiding a student through their first stitch, or developing programs in partnership with schools and organizations, her focus remains the same: to equip people with real skills that empower confidence, independence, and long-term growth.

Everything she creates is rooted in care, structure, and the belief that when people are taught well, they can build something meaningful of their own and pass it forward.
